A Brief History of HIV
In the famous words of George Santayana, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
The history of the HIV epidemic is full of stories of courage, compassion, and care. There are also many stories of fear, discrimination, and tremendous suffering. We have much to learn about how we have responded to this global health crisis, on an individual and on a collective basis. The story is not over and it should not be forgotten.
